The numbers are mind-boggling. During the next decade, Amazon.com Inc. plans to develop about 6 million square feet of office space in Arlington County’s Crystal City, Pentagon City and Potomac Yard areas to accommodate the mammoth e-tailer’s new HQ2 East Coast headquarters.
Crystal City Metro will soon be one step closer to getting a second entrance. The Arlington County Board is set to approve an interim agreement on Saturday with real-estate company JBG Smith.
When Amazon announced in November 2018 that Arlington, Va., would be the site for its second headquarters outside of Seattle, it set off a frenzy of real estate speculation.
The area now being called National Landing is made up of three more familiar-sounding places: Crystal City, Pentagon City, and part of Potomac Yard.
